Albany’s Palace Theater Was Rocked By The Legendary Alice Cooper

On July 3rd, Alice brought his theatrics, costumes, and iconic songs to the Capital Region.
If there is a bucket list of things to do as a music fan I would put seeing an Alice Cooper show near the top of that list. It is easily one of the most memorable concerts you’ll ever see, and you’ll never leave disappointed.
Alice Cooper comes to play here in Albany every couple of years and each time he brings a new stage setup to compliment his amazing music. Last night was no different as Alice too the stage in a courtroom set up declaring that he had been “banned” from New York. We’re all very happy that he ignored that ban and gave one one hell of a show.
Not only did Alice bring out the giant Frankenstein, Jason Voorhees, a snake and the iconic guillotine, his band was absolutely incredible. I could watch Nita Strauss shred on guitar all night. At 76-years-old Alice shows no signs of slowing down, either. He still sounds amazing and has such a command of the stage.
He owned the crowd from the start of the show, until the end of the encore performance of “School’s Out.”
The only thing that seemed to be different from his last time here in Albany was there were less background performers with him on stage. Not that it still wasn’t a great rock concert, but the visuals weren’t quite the same as the last few times I had seen Alice Cooper.
It’s always going to be a treat to be able to see Alice do their thing, and I hope we get to enjoy these shows for years to come.
