ALICE AND THE BAND GAVE THEM WHAT THEY WANTED, A FIST FULL OF ALICE CLASSICS!
WE WERE IN SEEBRON, GERMANY LAST NIGHT FOR THE “ROCK OF AGES” FESTIVAL, AND WHAT DO YOU KNOW? MORE RAIN! ON TOP OF THAT, WE HAD SOME TECHNICAL PROBLEMS WITH THE SOUND ON STAGE WHICH DELAYED OUR SHOW BY ABOUT 30 MINS. LITERALLY AS SOON AS THE INTRO STARTED IT BEGAN RAINING CATS, DOGS, AND EVERYTHING ELSE! DESPITE THE CONTINUED SOUND PROBLEMS DURING THE SHOW ALICE AND THE BAND DELIVERED ANOTHER RUTHLESS ONSLAUGHT OF COOPER MADNESS.
TODAY IS A WELL EARNED DAY OFF IN MILAN, ITALY, WHERE WE'LL BE PLAYING TOMORROW NIGHT AT THE CIVIC ARENA. LOOKING FORWARD TO AN INDOOR VENUE AFTER ALL OF THE RAIN WE'VE HAD.
OF COURSE, I CAN’T GO ON ABOUT THIS CURRENT LEG WITHOUT TALKING ABOUT THE NORTH AMERICAN TOUR WITH IRON MAIDEN THAT JUST FINISHED UP IN CADOTT, WI. WHAT A GREAT PACKAGE THAT TOUR WAS! WE HAD SUCH GREAT FANS AT ALL OF THE SHOWS, THE VIBE BETWEEN THE BANDS WAS GREAT, AND OUR ONLY CLOSING THOUGHT WAS THAT WE WISH WE COULD HAVE PLAYED A BIT LONGER FOR THE FANS WHO WERE AT THOSE SHOWS. BUT, WE STILL HAD A GREAT TIME AND THE MAIDEN BOYS WERE GREAT TO HANG WITH OF COURSE.
WE DID HAVE A FEW OF OUR OWN SHOWS MIXED IN THERE, AND WE HAD THE GREAT PLEASURE OF SHARING THE STAGE WITH OUR FRIENDS BLUE COUPE, FEATURING DENNIS DUNAWAY OF THE ORIGINAL ALICE COOPER GROUP AND JOE & ALBERT BOUCHARD OF BLUE OYSTER CULT. HAVING THESE GUYS ON THE SAME BILL IS ALWAYS A TREAT FOR US, AND WE KNOW IT’S REALLY SOMETHING SPECIAL FOR THE OLD SCHOOL ALICE COOPER FANS!
