WHAT A NIGHT! Alice played a blistering set full of classics and covers by his favorite bands. It was a rare night, with "Alice" taking a back seat to Vincent, as Coop let his legendary stage persona take a break for the evening.
Here's the setlist from last night...
Train Kept A Rollin' (Some of you may be aware that Steve Hunter played lead on Aerosmith's version)
Under My Wheels
No More Mr. Nice Guy
Is It My Body
Brown Sugar
I'll Bite Your Face Off (Which is a brand new track from Alice's upcoming Welcome 2 My Nightmare)
Muscle Of Love
Cold Ethyl
Billion Dollar Babies
Back In The USSR
Poison
You Really Got Me
I'm Eighteen (Featuring Johnny Depp, making the total number of guitar players an incredible 4!)
Schools Out (With Johnny as well)
Elected
We Gotta Get Out Of This Place (Which is a cover that will also be released on Alice's new Welcome 2 My Nightmare)
Fire
Alice decided to keep the stage antics to a minimum last night, but he still brought out his old slithery friend Kachina, the 6 foot Boa. He also had on hand a few canes, riding crops and of course the classic Alice Cooper $100 Bills.
When it came time for Johnny Depp to make his surprise entrance, Alice introduced him as Johnny D from Ken-Tuck-EE! It took a little while for everyone to figure out who it was, because the most persistent rumor was that Alice would be joined by Guns N Roses guitarist Slash. Slash posted on his twitter page that he was on his way to London for an impromptu surprise performance, so the logic was there, but everyone was wrong!
Depp played lead on "I'm Eighteen", trading tasty licks with Veteran Alice Guitarist's Damon Johnson and Steve Hunter. Bassist Chuck Garric and Depp seemed like old buddies up there, the three stage right guitarists were laughing and clearly enjoying themselves. New Alice Cooper guitarist Tommy Henriksen, producer Bob Ezrin's hand picked guitarist for Alice's new band, held down the fort on stage left with Steve Hunter while drummer Glen Sobel blew everyone's mind!
Johnny is in London working on the new Tim Burton movie "Dark Shadows", and Alice is rumored to have a cameo part in the film as well...
