Eschewing hi-tech theatrics in favour of the tried, tested and true horror vaudeville that made him a legend, Alice Cooper proved that sometimes dumb fun is the best kind in front of just under 2,200 punters at the fabulous Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium last night.

If not for the, now 64-year-old, original master of shock and roll horror, there is no Rob Zombie, Marilyn Manson, Slipknot or ... well, you get the picture. Hell, there's probably not even KISS.

Alice and the band rocked Later With Jool's Holland Tuesday night! They played live on the 30 min show, playing the classic "School's Out" and the single from Welcome 2 My Nightmare "I'll Bite Your Face Off"! Taped versions of the performances will air on Friday with "Under My Wheels" joining the ranks of "I'll Bite Your Face Off", "School's Out". Also performing were Charley Pride, Bloc Party, Dionne Warwick, Alt-J, and Josephine.

THE ****** AWARD SHOW IS THE PRECURSOR TO THE UNVEILING OF UNIVERSAL HOLLYWOOD'S "HALLOWEEN HORROR NIGHTS" HAUNTED MAZE ATTRACTIONS. AMONG THE NEW MAZES THIS YEAR IS ALICE'S OWN MAZE CALLED "ALICE COOPER GOES TO HELL 3D". THIS MAZE WAS DESIGNED BY UNIVERSAL'S JOHN MURDY, THE SAME TWISTED MIND BEHIND ALICE'S 2011 HAUNTED MAZE.
