Having bought Nightmare in 1975 on vinyl and almost wearing it out from the day I first played it, then getting it on CD, I am thrilled at this Welcome 2 My Nightmare. For me, the character Alice Cooper first lived in 1975 through this album and I lived that nightmare with him......now 37 years later I am reliving being in Alice's head yet again. Long Live Alice!!

I haven't bought it yet but i want it so bad!!!!!!!!!!!Yell

    please come 2 ft myers

I just finished listening to the album, and I must say that it is very good. I was nervous about it based on the last albums, but overall, it is really good, classic - yet updated  - Alice Cooper. I am also grateful that we (who bought the actual CD) have the option of turning over the booklet, thereby having the original (yet modified) Drew Struzan illustration rather than the atrocious cover art. The back should have been the cover. Anyway, thanks Alice for an excellent album! I don't know if you are planning on retiring, but if you go out with this one, you will go out on top.

Brian told me many times, "Aren't you ever satisfied?"  Whether it was a missing song from the concert, or a missing video from a new VHS tape. . . If he were still here, I would tell him how much I LOVE this album and how it is leaking from my pores-

So for anyone who loves and still loves "Welcome to my Nightmare", BUY THIS ALBUM!!!!  You will NOT be disapointed!!  The opening song is the Nightmare singing to Alice!  It's as Fresh and as weird as it's 1975 counterpart!!!  DO NOT MISS THIS ONE!!!!!!

And Alice, I still think the August Detroit show should go straight to DVD!!

IT SHOULDN'T BE CALLED WELCOME 2 MY NIGHTMARE

    WELCOME 2 DETRIOT

The stories behind the songs link only tall about 1 song. Will more be added to this someday? I always love to hear Alice's stories!

The bulk of these comments have got me very excited.  I've been disappointed with Alice's last two albums but can't wait to hear this one.  I've been a fan since I was 14 (42 now) and have to wait until Friday in Australia to get this but will spend the week anticpating and playing the original to get in the mood.  Bring it on Alice.  I'm ready...............................

Welcome 2 My Nightmare is an instant classic.  It's hard rockin' pop with the Alice sense of humor all the way through!  Buy it!   I Program a CHR radio station and we've added "What Baby Wants" into a regular rotation and it's already a most requested!

Got the Classic Rock Magazine Fan Pack. Cool album, cool mag, cool pin badge, cool poster, and I'm wearing the cool Alice mask as I type....

ordered my fan pack in july. was under the impression that

i should received it a week before it went on sale nationwide.

still waiting for it.  so disappointed. i have been so excited about

hearing the new alice cd.  but i guess i will still have to wait, and

    wait!!!!!

For my own case.I BIG fan since the beginning. The nightmare is confirmed;I have not received my alice cooper fan pack I paid for in July !!!! It's a shame. ans i am sad about it.

Emily and I are still waiting for our Fan Pack in Pompano Beach.  We were among the first people in America to place an order in London.....hope they spell our names correctly on the poster.

I heard the old Alice Cooper band plays a few songs in the new Nightmare 2, Does anyone know which songs they are in?

alice hits it over the fence again, the new alblum and tour will be killer.Thansk for all the tunes through the years alice

    I got it !!!

I just finnished listeing to it and it is GREAT.

I cant wait to make it  my staple...

Hope the tour is just as great......

    >>We know how private he was, but also how appropriate recognition is/would be appreciated by even the most private people.  and he was totally worthy of a tribute in a wider release than that limited release, nearly $300, over-priced box set...so...still not cool."

"Old School Box Set," an official statement to the public, one of Alice's outfits on stage with his name, etc for two years, altering the lyrics to one of the songs as a tribute to Brian, not satisfied enough?  Would you like the Alice camp to get in contact with you so that they can be shown the way on what is an appropriate tribute to someone that they knew day in and day out for almost 30 years?

This doesn't really need to go any further, the recognitions and acknowledgements have been done publically and privately.

    Back to the album.

If I recall Alice wore the Renfield straight jacket for most of the tour after Brian's death. As tributes go that is as good as it gets. As far as the "over-priced" box set is concerned--I am so sick anf tired reading posts from fans about being ripped off. When will you people understand that no one is making you buy anything. Also, I am sure Brian would have loved his tribute being in a specialty set that focuses on rarties, obscurities etc as anyone who knew Brian knows that that is what he lived for--tracking down and finding anything he could on Alice--the rarer and more obscure the better.

Alice - it's all been said in the previous posts above - I've been with you since 1976 - every record, every show I could see - and now you do this - quite possibly your best album in years (though I've loved ALL previously) - this damn thing has it all - I'm hearing stuff from your entire catalog, all here - the styles, and as usual, the funny as hell lyrics.

I love you man, you just keep giving and giving - when really you're the gift. To us. Thanks.

    Tim

After seeing in concert, and rocking with Alice and the gang to the new I'LL BITE YOUR FACE OFF, and totally enjoying the show...I could do nothing more than invest in Alice by buying the CD. It is awesome material, an array of different styles but ALL ALICE. The guy is an artist that is for sure. Thanks Alice and crew!!

I just bought your last album, and as a fan since my 9th anniversary when I got "Killer", I'm just having such emotions to listen to the best album you released since decades... The meeting with the original band is something I was dreaming, and now it has happened. Thank you so much !!!

Bought it yesterday. Already listened to it 9 times! I knwyou would deliver, but...wow! You have always made meproud to have a "Billion Dollar Babies" tattoo on my heart.

Didn't think you could pull it off Alice, but this is a great album. Congratulations, it's a worthy follow-up for a true classic.

I do miss Vincent Price. But no one else could fill those shoes.

But we got Rob Zombie instead! MIMES!

Brian had a dedication in the "Old School Box Set." They don't need a dedication on multiple releases, that would get ridiculous fast (and I'm sure Brian wouldn't like that idea as private as he was.) We know how private he was, but also how appropriate recognition is/would be appreciated by even the most private people. In agreement with a previous poster, you won't find a more dedicated person (past, present, future) to Alice and his career than Brian, and he was totally worthy of a tribute in a wider release than that limited release, nearly $300, over-priced box set...so...still not cool.

From the origins of the Nightmare, "Himself", "I AM MADE OF YOU" (I love the changing vocals!) taking me back to 15 years old, only to be thrown into the present, modern-day Nightmare, fully grown, and sure to keep me up nights. . .cause I don't think I'm every gonna get enough of playing this disc!   Welcome to my Nigthtmare has a successor!  Again, Bravo, Alice, as well as Bob, Dennis, Mike, Neal, Richard, Desmond and everyone else who made this an awesome gift! It is as colorful and more than the first!  Thanx guys,  I will never get enough awesome new music, and the whole album is now officially stuck in my head, right where I want it  to be !   See you next tour Alice.

ps. Again, the Detroit show in August should go straight to DVD!

Love it... love it... LOVE IT!!! W2MN far exceeded my expectations!Tongue out

"Shameful... No mention of the passing of Brian Nelson in the liner notes... I don't know a more dedicated person (past, present, future) to Alice and his career than Brian. Well done! (not)"

Right on, Fifi. Bruce Springsteen placed a beautiful tribute (and a great picture, too) to his PA of 23 years, Terry Magovern, on his "Magic" album - very touching.

    We haven't forgotten you, Brian.

YOOOOO I love Welcome 2 My Nightmare. I think it's a great Album. Favorite song has to be I am made of you or The Congregation. Alice you Freakin Rock. I hope to see you around St.Louis or Memphis TN. God Bless

i'm so amazed by this new nightmare! it has the different sounds & personalities of alice from past to present, even what i believe to be is a new alice; all converging simultaneously in your voice! listening to this album was like time-traveling with a "mighty-morphing power alice" as the storyteller! this really was the perfect answer to the question of even making a sequel to such a formidable classic as the first nightmare. it really does have everything- deep & tender ballads, imaginative story & keen lyrics, infectious hooks & grooves; all the while, still maintaining a large element of fun and humor!!! ther's a fiendish "beach boy" alice & even a raucous "rockabilly" alice!!! this epic masterpiece has so many surprises & when i'm listening to it; it's like listening to several different albums all at once!!! you really did make this one special & unforgettable!!! i hope i can jst maintain my obsession until the new nightmare tour!!! thanks again for everything, coop! u will ALWAYS be #1 forever!!!

I finally heard the finished product...awesome.    Thanks so much to you and Bob for the opportunity to work on it with you.    Hope it goes triple platinum.

    Cheers,

I have just bought an Alice Cooper Albun online Digitally! Not the same though without looking at the Album Artwork in hand and reading the Great work Alice CooperInsert info on CD.

Can't wait for the W2MN tour! The opening song I AM MADE OF YOU with it's roots based in STEVEN is amazing (the vocal effects don't bother me like they seem to some people - it adds a creepiness to the song) and sets up the atmosphere...the whole album is GREAT! The UNDERTURE is just awesome. DISCO BLOODBATH BOOGIE FEVER has to be heard! It would be great for a video album...what's next Alice? Alice Cooper Goes 2 Hell? ha ha. Thank you for giving the fans this new masterpiece! Long live the Coop!

Got it. Love it. To Death.

Oh, I've been waiting for this for so long! :D
