In time for the 40th anniversary of the seminal School's Out reaching Number 1 in the UK and backing up his Halloween Night of Fear III UK Tour, Alice Cooper's Old School 1964-1974: Special Edition is the incredible true story of the Alice Cooper group.
A career-spanning 4CD and download set taking you inside one of rock's great bands in a unique full-length school yearbook, with an array of amazing audio rarities direct from the depths of the band's own vaults and personal collections, with unearthed gems also generously provided by family, friends, road crew and long-time fans.
Housed in a very apt mini school desk design, this set features 4 discs crammed with demos, pre-production and rehearsal recordings of classic Alice Cooper tracks, radio spots, interview anecdotes, plus a full live show captured on the 1971 Killer tour - Live in St Louis - along with a 60-page yearbook charting the incredible rise of Alice Cooper complete with many rare photos.
Old School 1964-174: Special Edition also includes School's Out demos, live versions and audio of the original recording sessions with producer Bob Ezrin and the kids choir from the chorus.
Alice Cooper flipped hippie ideals on their head and astonished the world, "driving a stake through the heart of the Love Generation," as the group's namesake put it. Heavy Metal took the imagery, punk took the tunes, rock and pop took the showmanship as fans the world over fell in love with the band's macabre sense of humor.
This Special Edition is a condensed version of the original sold-out Old School: 1964-1974 super deluxe box set released in 2011.

Hi Alice, or the people who work for Alice and take care of all his stuff. On Dec 1st 2012 I came to see Alice in California at the Fantacy Springs Resort. In fact I was picked to go on stage and throw out the baloons. I never recieved my pictures that were taken of Alice and I. What happened to them? I spent alot of money for the meet and greet. You more than likely do not have them any more. This is my second letter. Note, I am not mad. Just wondering where they are. Thank you. Darknight442008@hotmail.com.

So where's the DVD that came with the previous boxset which housed these CDs????
Missed opportunity folks. These CDs have been available illegally for some time now but the DVD hasn't,
If only you'd have included it I'm sure sales would be higher as those people who couldn't afford the big boxset and therefore, ahem, acquired the CDs elsewhere, would be more tempted to buy this smaller one just to get the DVD....
I am still waiting for the massive re-master box set (all coop albums remastered in one set) I heard about years ago!!!

The 70's albums have been released in Japan in both a boxset and individually and from what I can tell they have been remastered to some degree....
Sadly, they're extortionatly priced :(

I've had this for quite some time as it came out in the US - worth every penny! It's a fabulous set.
i have the Deluxe set im happy with that. i really want to know if he is coming out with any new stuff. also if he is touring Nightmare 2 next year in the USA. i consider myself very lucky that ive got my Deluxe set signed by all the surviving original band members except Neal.
So I was thinking that the special Paris version 1982 Alice Cooper Special Forces should become available on DVD in the USA. MY hubby would die for this rare dvd. I've heard theres only a few floating around in the US but I think it should be recreated for US purchase please :D <3
