14 Photographs That Shatter Your Image Of Famous People

By:  - Exerpt taken from cracked.com

First of all, how many of you kids thought that "Colonel Sanders" was just a drawing on the KFC logo rather than a real person? He was a real guy, and I don't mean that in the sense that the chain had a dude dress up as him the way McDonald's has guys in Hamburglar costumes running around. He invented the KFC recipe and started the restaurant chain (at age 65, no less). And here he is talking to heavy metal legend Alice Cooper.

After hours of searching, I still have no idea whatsoever how a young rock star from Detroit and a fried chicken magnate from Kentucky wound up in the same room, or what they would possibly have had to talk about. And I guess I don't want to know, that's what makes it a classic in the Awesome People Hanging Out Together genre.

After all, Alice is the greatest, if not most twisted, mind that ever was.

I think that he is a sweet and caring guy for creating a centre for children and youth at risk.

Maybe the old saying is true, 'Great minds think alike.' I tend to believe it, in this case

and my first thought was "finger lickin' good" line in "I Love America" of DaDa
maybe alice just likes KFC. I do. From time to time.

Alice was always a guy that recognized achievement and I think, was drawn to it. Regardless of what you think of KFC, the Colonel was a very storied, successful guy, and I think he found a kindred spirit in Alice. Look at the friendships with Groucho, with Salvador Dali, Vincent Price..the list goes on and on. Alice is a VERY deep guy, and he appreciates the history and effort that make these people what they are (or were). Maybe I'm completely wrong, but after having met Alice, and reading his book, I think there's something to it. But again, I may be up in the night - but I don't think so.

Alice and the Colonel - Classic.

Maybe it was because of the whole Chicken Incident at Alice's show? A little black humor perhaps...

Yeah remember "Colonel Sanders killes more chickens than I do".......I'm just sayin.....J.D.

Yes, my first thought was the chicken incident. I believe you're right.
