I can't believe what I'm reading. Osbourne is a talentless buffoon who influenced losers like WASP and Ratt. Alice is a genius who influenced The Sex Pistols, the Ramones, the entire genre of metal, and Gun 'n Roses. Alice writes funny, brilliant lyrics and every song on every album has a memorable classic hook. Osbourne is just an idiot.
Alice Rocks ! Ozzy Rocks !...

Alice all the way. He's much more talented, understandable and active in a lot of things. His stage shows are more than memorable. Ozzy does not have much of a vocabulary in concert. If I wanted to hear something as vulgar as him I'd go to a bar and listen to some low-life drunks.

I am sorry Alice but I have to say OZZY, you have been a wonderful influence on my music and life, but after meeting OZZY in person and getting to chat with him i was astounded when I found that was a real down to earth person, someday I will get the chance to meet you and may change my mind.

Come on now people, there can really only be one answer here! As much as i love Ozzy, has anyone heard how bad Ozzy's albums have been since the late 80's? but Alice seems to get better with age. Alice still makes albums that really rock. Alice in a Generation Landslide .

This isn't even a question. Alice is by far the better showman, the better performer. Truer to his fans and his vision and his music by far, never bowing, never catering. Ozzy, unfortunately, has become more of a comedy prop than anything else (I submit The Osborns and the Ozzy/Bieber Superbowl ad as exhibits A and B). It's just sad to see Ozzy these days.
The only thing sad about Alice is knowing that he's not going to go on forever, and no one is going to replace him.
don't discount showmanship....and he pulls it all together with his band...great musicians....
Alice Cooper will always be better than Oz... I do listen to Ozzy, I've even been to a few of his shows but, there's nothing to compare really.

IV SEEN ALICE COOPER 6 TIMES N WENT TO OZZFEST 2 TIMES BUT ALICE COOPER PUTS ON A WAY BETTER SHOW WIT ABETTER VOICE THAT NONE CAN MATCH. ALICE HAS BETTER LYRICS TO HIS SONGS THEN OZZY! THE THEATRICALS ARE AMAZING WHO ELSES DO YOU KNOW THAT GETS KILLED ON STAGE 4TIMES THROUGHOUT THEIR SHOW..........SO THERE FOR MY VOTES 4 ALICE COOPER N ALWAYS WILL BE ALICE COOPERS THE MAN!!!!!!!!!!!

Alice takes this ...Ozzy rocks, but Alice Cooper puts on the best concerts.. The first concert I ever saw was Alice Cooper the 70's..it was the "Welcome to my Nightmare" tour.......never forget it....who else would bring a giant toothbrush on stage???

I have had the pleasure of meeting them both. Alice more than once. Alice is far more entertaining and talented on all levels. Ozzy is always right up there though. Just not much fun to hang with.

I agree with family has nothing to do with which performer is better 100%. Look at some other top performers & how **** their family life is...who cares. Plus, Ozzy's family may be disfunctional but they're still together & still love eachother through everything. The reality show as much as I hate reality shows... I found it interesting to see how their family really was... how weird everything seemed yet they pull through everything. I love Sharon. She's funny, keeps Ozzy in his place. Sure she likes nice things, but she also worked back in the day she didnt come from riches & expect riches.
As for the question.... it is hard to say who's better over Alice & Ozzy. I think Ozzy is harder,and more crazier (mentally anyways) for sure which appeals to a lot of people, but Alice is more original & more relatable in his songs. Plus, his shows are more theatrical instead of just hard hitting & some cool effects.
I do love them both, but I think the more "TALENTED" one is Alice.

Yeah, I hear you. I don't have anything against Alice and I love his music, for real. But I think asking to compare and choose between these two is insane.
For the record, I'm only 23 and this weekend I've finally saved up enough money to go get my huge chest piece tattoo done. It's gonna be a big Ozzy one. haha
I also have to agree, their families have NOTHING to do with them as a performer and shame on you (DIANNA) for even opening your mouth with that one. Same with religion, really. We're talking about music here, people.

I think it's gonna have to be ruled as a agree to disagree situation. It's such a difficult topic to discuss for some people. I was never one to get into Ozzy as much as I did Alice. I'm only 18 and already have him tattooed on me haha. But good on your for sticking to your guns :D
I agree that they are both doing incredibly well despite age and health issues that either are facing.
Also, to whoever wrote it, family should have absolutely NOTHING to do with whichever performer is 'better.'
What a stupid thing to say!
First, Alice is only 63. Feb 4th 1948.Both have shared lifes struggles. Both are unique in their music style. Ozzy has some not so great songs, but so does Alice. I like Ozzy alot, but Alice has been will me just about my whole life Seen me throught my life struggles. I give Ozzy and his dysfunctional family their props. Alot of families are dysfunctional (mine), but it is Alice. I seen a comment about giving husband and children up for Alice. I agree.
Got to go with Alice Cooper one hundred percent!

I didn't intend for my statement to come out that way. I meant, with everyone always talking about how awful Ozzy's health is and what not...he's still going really strong when he performs. I don't meant Alice isn't awesome, because I really do love him. But I just think that Ozzy has been a stronger influence in Rock/Metal.
I don't mean any disrespect to Alice, really. I just think it's a bit crazy that they're asking be who's better between these two. Alice or Manson? Alice or Rob Zombie? Those would probably be better. Alice would take the cake on those, by the way. :)
