alice for sure! he has great music and lyrics and didnt do drugs like ozzy did. and alice does cool things on stage he doesnt just sit up there and sing songs he interacts with the crowd!

Alice without a doubt, to be honest you cannot compare the 2 as Alices Stage shows and persona are different. He has been going longer, pushed more boundaries, broke so much new ground and is just unique. Love the old stuff and new stuff alike.
Ozzy is a great guy and is respected for different things but has not been performing as long. Is Ozzy still actually performing ?
5 years ago I would have said Ozzy but since Zak's departure I have to say Alice, Also Alice's sets are more than 13 songs long :)
Alice wins - hands down (even though he broke all of my toys - that was a long time ago). His concept albums can't be matched and he has stayed true to rock by having two HOT guitarists always that could play well off of each other. Now that he has added a third (Ori) to the next leg of his latest tour.... WOW! Alice in the past, present and the future all of the way!

Interesting question, easy answer-ALICE. I have ALL of Alice's stuff, and a lot of Ozzy's, but I only like certain songs on Ozzy's albums, because some are just not that good. Alice, on the other hand-there really isn't much of his stuff that I don't like, meaning Alice rocks! Way better material, and way more awesome live-plus a voice that has gotten better with age. He sounds better now then 30 years ago, and still has the classic Alice sneer-GO ALICE!!
Toughest question in metal, but in the end, i'd have to lean towards Alice.

Ozzy was good, but keeps getting worst, Alice was good and keeps getting better!
Alice all the way... of course Ozzy is a great metal artist,
But talent-wise, Alice, he innovated, merged theatrics with rock (which nobody else has managed to do as good)... and he doesn't JUST do rock, he's nailed other genres too.
And of course, his tongue in cheek way of taking things a bit less seriously is such a breath of fresh air in an area of music where so many people take it way too seriously.

I love them both, why ask stupid questions like this, they are both legends.
Ozzy was a part of the most influential metal band, but he was not the primary lyricist or songwriter of Black Sabbath. Ozzy didn't really develop his "prince of darkness" persona until he went solo... and he had a hell of a manager behind him to get him there. Always a fun show but his "evil" was more implied and happened off-stage (save for the bat). What Ozzy has is a voice that nobody else has, for better or worse... but he never breaks new ground. He demystified himself with a reality tv show and became more of a comedian.
Alice is one of the most underrated lyricists hard rock has ever had (very influential to me) aside from being one of the greatest showman to hit a rock-n-roll stage - sober or not. The original Alice Cooper group was groundbreaking and penned more classic hits in their short time as a band than most bands do in a lifetime. But Alice was always Alice and always took bold moves with his career. Some more successful than others BUT even the Special Forces era was pretty damn out there and daring for someone who could have just kept repeating himself for the cash... and it was good! After listening to today's new release, I have no doubts that if I had to pick one over the other, I am one who thinks, sure Ozzy survived a bat... nut I hope Alice will be surviving guillotines, lethal injections, hangman nooses and electric chairs for many years to come!!!!

I used to hate alice cooper simply casue thats all my mother played in the car. but after i took the time to listen to the cd (welcome to my nightmare, 1975) i fell it love with it. Currently 20 years old and i have to say alice cooper all the way.
Seen him twice now once in 2008 and than again in 2010.
hope to see him again in 2012. if the pattern goes right :P

Based entirely on music they are both amazing BUT if you factor in live performance ozzy cant even compare to alice! I mean really lets face it when it comes to live show not many bands can come close to alice
I've taken my kids to Alice and Ozzy.. in that order.

Everyone can like Alice or dislike Alice for whatever reason they want. And you are the one making "religion" the issue. Also, judging an entire religion based off of people makes you not so smart, a religion should be based off of its god, and teachings, never the people who follow it. People will always screw up, being a Christian doesn't mean we won't screw up it just means we are forgiven for it.
I also love that Alice is a Christian... way to go Shaun.

i'v seen both in concert & for me, ther's no comparison. alice's live show is like the rock n' roll ringling brothers... THE GREATEST SHOW ON EARTH! i'v never seen any1 with so much passion and imagination for music... he's 63 yrs old now & he totally rocked my socks off!!! he inspires the hell outta me!!! ozzy's cool... but, ALICE RULES!!!

Alice, he has a great range of music, Ozzy writes the same ol same ol, and his voice aggravates me if I listen too long.

Someone made a point that got to me. I saw Alice's Bottle Tour and have never seen Sabbath or Ozzy. Hmmm. Vincent Price? Now, I have spoken to and shook his hand. I'm flummoxed.
Alice Cooper and Ozzy -- they are different shades of the same color. They compliment each other. I think they are equals.
Think of it like this: name any current band that would have the guts to go onstage after Ozzy played 4 encores at a festival. You can't, can ya? Every band today would be shaking in their boots.
Alice could go on after Ozzy. And...vise versa. After Alice played a show, Ozzy could go on after him.
Bottom line: Alice and Ozzy are equals.

Alice has my vote. I've been stalking the master since I first seen him in 1972 my first concert. I live in Kansas & travled as far as Houston Texas to see Alice perform
I can't afford to travel @ this time because of my husband's cancer.

Don't get me wrong..I love Ozzy. HOWEVER there really is no comparision if you are looking at the songwriting, lyrics ect..Ozzy writes little or nothing. Alice Cooper lyrics are among the very best in the music business and not just METAL or rock....I'll go see ozzy any time..he rocks. However..He's NOT Alice Cooper!
Without a doupt Alice is the best!
