News Item : Cooper Fans Rally To Support His Induction
Yesterday The Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame announced it's nominations for its' induction class of 2011. Among those nominated was the Godfather of Shock-Rock, Alice Cooper. The Washington Post has posted a poll for it's readers to vote on who they think should be inducted. It did not take long for fans of the Master Of Terror to show their support and start submitting votes. Hopefully, those that are actually able to vote on the inductees, will see this and take it into consideration. Below are the results as of 9/29 12:00pm CST. I've been a fan of Alice since my early teens now at age 48 i've seen him six times, most at Ruth Eckrd Hall in Clearwater Fl.. I can't wait for him to come back. Theres no one more deserving to be in the Rock & Role Hall of Fame them him. Alice just got my vote & i'm sure will continue to recieve even more. Here's to the BEST Rocker of them all !!!

Because he is the pioneer who combined rock and roll with Gothic horror, and due to the strength and power of his excellent lyrics, I firmly support Alice's induction into the Hall of Fame. There are times and places at which one may wish to ride on a one horse open sleigh or be taken on a surfing safari, but, in the words of Martin Luther: "The best way to drive out the devil, if he will not yield to texts of Scripture, is to jeer and flout him because he cannot bear scorn." This is the goodness of Alice's concerts; this t is what Halloween is all about. For the longest time, Halloween in America used to be for kids under 10, with the magic suddenly vanishing upon one's tenth birthday. I believe that Alice helped influence the way we celebrate this delightfully fun holiday by making it accessible to all ages, not just kids and their parents and grandparents. Halloween is an art. Without Halloween, there is nothing between the last merry embers of summer and the cheer of Thanksgiving, on whose heels immediately ride Christmas, in both its sacred solemnity and in the frenzy with which the secular world wrongfully associates with it. Hence, in my opinion, Alice is much more than a great American rock star; he is a great American cultural hero and a vital part of American legend and tradition.

Alice Cooper deserves to be in the rock and roll hall of fame he set in motion ,life and dreams of many other rockers. Alice was the first true rock and roll icon i ever saw at the kitchener auditorium in the 70's he changed my life that day
In this historic election of 2010 to ignore the man who wrote about being elected, who lamented with us about being 18, who took on incredible journeys with Steven would be sacrilige. Alice has been my heart for all the years he has been around. He owns Rock and Roll. If it weren't for him most of the wannabe's who are already in would not even exist. Alice it is YOUR time

This is long over due. Not only did Alice invent a lasting genre, shock rock. He continues to wow with vibrant albums and tours. For me personally, my love of the Master has been a wonderful thing to pass on to my now 14 year old son who will accompany me to see him at the Mohegan Sun. This will be a our third Alice show together. Its a crime The Coop is not already enshrined.
Your going to your rightful place in rock history. Rock on Uncle Al!
