News Item : Alice Cooper to Perform with Original Band at Rock Hall Induction
Alice Cooper [the group]—along with a few others—snagged the honor of being inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. They plan to play at the induction ceremony with the band’s original line-up March 14 at New York’s Waldorf Astoria Hotel.
Michael Bruce, Dennis Dunaway and Neal Smith will join Cooper to fill out the lineup. Glen Buxton won’t be able to make the performance for obvious reasons. “I don’t think Alice would wear a tux unless it was a mirrored one,” Cooper told Rolling Stone. "And we’re trying to figure out, if we do ‘Schools Out’ do we send balloons full of confetti into the audience? I think so. I doubt if there’ll be a snake there though.
So could this mean a full-fledged, original lineup tour? “I think it is [possible],” Cooper continued. “We have kind of been looking for an excuse to do that anyway. Why not do 4 or 5 major cities, Detroit especially since that’s where we broke out of. Los Angeles, New York, London, Toronto. Those were like the five cities where we got our biggest push. We might do that in the spring.”
Fuse will tape the live broadcast on March 14 and air the induction ceremony on March 20.

if the original band does tour i would like an audition to fill glen's spot. is it possible to get a shot to play with heroes?
First saw Alice in '81. Aside from DVD, never got to see original line-up. Please bring Mike, Neil, and Dennis to Buffalo. It's Good To See You Again, Alice Cooper.

The original line up had that special chemistry that every great band has, it suited the material & Bob Ezrin was a huge part of that also.I cant wait for the tour!

Alice I have seen you live in Kitchener Ontario 4 times. Even back when you were last at Lolos. Every time you come here I am there to see you. It is about time the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame let you in where you have belonged for so long. If only Frank Zappa was here to see it.

COME TO OMAHA! Alice, I saw you in 2008 at the Stir Cove in Council Bluffs IA and you have not lost a step! Been a fan since age 14, over 25 years, and I would LOVE nothing more than to have the chance to see you with the original lineup, which was a little before my time...either way, you have to release a DVD of the tour, I'd gladly pony up for that! ROCK ON!

I came on board around the time of Flush the Fashion and Special Forces. Yours was the first concert I ever went to, and the memories are forever burned into my mind. Last night I kicked back with a glass of wine and a little herbal medication and lost myself in DADA. What a great one that was! Thank you for all these years of great music. I'm from Detroit and I can't wait till you guys come here. I'm 23 and been listening to you guys since the 5th grade. Still to this my favorite band I own all 25 studio albums and the box set and greatest hits and all the dvds. I'm very excited to see the orginal lineup and also very excited for welcome to my nightmare 2.

I have loved my dear one, Alice, since Pretties For You. You were the biggest influence on my life ever!!!!! i don't think I would have made it through my teenage years and well beyond without Ballad of Dwight Frye. Love you always!!!!
