It would be interesting to know the ages of those passing negative comment about the raise the dead tour and in particular, the tribute section of the show where Alice plays cover versions of John Lennon, Jimmy Hendrix, Keith Moon's and Jim Morrison's songs. Was at the Wembley show and o.k. with it; yet my son aged 21, who has seen all Alice shows in London with me each year since 2007 wasn't too impressed. He wanted Alice to do songs from the Brutal Planet album and to hear "Clowns will eat me" off the Dragontown album instead of seeing Orianthi do a Hendrix guitar solo in "Foxy Lady." Although he, like many others was mesmerised by her guitar playing ability!
We are so lucky here in 2012 with all this computer generated "music," rappers and untalented wanabees on so called "talent" shows to have such good fortune as to be able to attend concert venues to witness a master showman who has perfected his art over 40 years doing what he does best. Entertaining. Long may it continue!!
I thought the Along Came a Spider Album would have been perfect for a theme concert.
. I really don't care to hear the covers, but if it was an addition to the 90 min. Alice Cooper show, i'd appreciate his adaptations of others' covers; but not in place of the Alice standard hits (no way he can NOT do them) or the album-themed-concert.
steeeeeeeeeeeeevennnnnn, time to come home now......
I think more people are most upset because in MANY INTERVIEWS, he had mentioned a W2MN tour with a magic screen and all, and before that, he promised us an Along Came A Spider Tour and all we got was ONE SONG live off that album as well. Why cant Alice theme his tours lately to the current album? It's NOT that I am not a TRUE fan as some of you say. I AM A TRUE FAN. I LISTEN TO MANY MANY of his interviews and remember him telling us about these tours that never happened after all. Remember when Brutal Palnet came out? He did ALOT of songs live off of it, but he has ditched every album since. To hear "I AM MADE OF YOU" live would make me so happy...Foxy Lady?....God, no.
Alice had said something about why they didn't do alot of songs from the newest album last year, but I can't remember what the reason was. I think they put this one together so quickly that there wasn't time or something. He'll get those songs in there one day, don't worry!
Go see this living legend as often as you can. There will never be another Alice Cooper no matter what songs are preformed or what tour he is on! He continues to make and write Rock and Roll history... go see him and be part of it!
Right on! Alice is the ultimate performer, as well as a really nice guy. A true fan can never see him too often or listen to his music too much. All Alice, all the time!
sorry. covering these old artist breaks the Alice charecter in my opinion and makes Alice CHARECTER seem ....well...elderly. Im sorry but It just seems like something Barbara or Liza would do. I dont think it would be as bad if these songs were mixed throughout the setlist, but to close with a bunch of non-Alice songs kills it.
Don't try to analyze everything Alice does. Appreciate his talent and his dedication to his art. The fact that he is giving a tribute to his fallen friends by covering their songs in a concert is wonderful. I'm glad he did that, even though I wasn't able to go to any of these concerts. Alice is a legend in his own time. The character of "Alice" is timeless, ageless. Just because Alice himself is 64 years old makes no difference at all. Just love him to death....!
I agree. alice deserves the right to do what he wants. he is the best
I agree. alice deserves the right to do what he wants. he is the best
OK. Obviously this blog has divided Alice Cooper true fans and just regular fans. In my opinion, the true real fans do not care what song he plays, just the fact he still does world tours is great. I have no clue how anyone can say he doesn't respect his fans, he still makes new albums for us that everyone obviously loves because they are requesting it to be made into a concert. Plus, think of the fans that never saw an Alice Cooper before. They would probably love all the classic hits not rare songs they never heard before. Stop your bitching, and enjoy. If you don't like the set list don't go! ALSO. Its called Raise the Dead. He is bringing back songs from dead artist. get it? Raise the dead, raise the classic songs from dead artist.
Ignore everyone Alice. Keep doing what you are doing.

You are absolutely right on! I'm a true fan, and anything Alice does in his concerts is fine with me. I just wish I could see him more often. He doesn't come to my area much. I love all the old songs and the new ones. I don't get tired of hearing any of them, so there is the line dividing the true fans from just the ones who "like" Alice. Either you're a fan or you're not...
I know. I hate the people who have been to over 10 alice cooper concerts and they still complain. I would kill to go to more of his concerts but can't. Why are they complaining still?
P.S my name is Lisa! You can find me under that name on CoopersTown.com send me all your email trying to set me stright. Then I will send you an email on why you are wrong and why you should appreciate Alice Cooper.
Alice shows are always good, but honestly i'de rather hear more of his own rarely performed live songs or new songs from current albums of his own than hear him do 8 covers of other artists. That seems very UN-Alice. Sorry, i love Alice, but this tour's setlist stinks.
Its called Raise the Dead tour. I think he picked the name becasue of the covers. He is doing good songs from dead artist. Get it? Raise the Dead????
I am soooooo mad that I missed this show!!!!!! I was going to drive 2.5 hours to see it, my husband had gotten me a hotel room, I was going to have an entire night to MYSELF to see Alice (no hubby, no kids), and I had a GREAT seat. This was my belated birthday present from my husband. Then I ended up so sick I was almost put in the hospital so I couldn't go. :( AURGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I hope that you are feeling better soon. Your husband was really good to go the extra mile for you to go see Alice. I'm so sorry that didn't work out. Perhaps next time he's wherever you are....
Alice Cooper will always, and I mean always, be the best at whatever he does!!!
By the way my name is Scott Rowe!!!! And if anyone has something bad to say about The Master, can talk to me personally, and I will set you all straight!!!! YOU DIG!!!!!!!!!!!!
hello my pretties
no one does it better than alice...
you can take my head and cut it off but cant change my mind..

One of you said Alice should respect his fans and he should play the songs you want...Really???. He doesn't respect his fans?? Whatever!! How about you respecting the fact that he has rocked hard for over 40 years....FOR his fans? The tour isn't called the W2MN tour! It is called Raise the Dead tour! So why would you expect the WHOLE focus to be that album?? We haven't seen him live since 1972 in Salt Lake City and we're excited looking forward to seeing him again in Boise! He can play whatever songs he wants! We are just happy to get to see him again after all these years. Some of you guys that are bitching need to get over yourselves!!
Rock on Alice!! Ignore these idiots!
Steve and Sue
Sorry, I'm just disappointed because I love some albums & some songs that are not played in the show. I'm glad Alice is always there! I should say that Alice should respect his albums. It is simply a opinion. I'm always happy to see a show of Alice! This is a healing. But one day, I hope he can surprise me. I know he can do it!
Any time spent at an Alice Cooper show is time well spent. One must keep in mind the Turning Stone show was the world premier... as with any show it will be tweaked as time goes by. This is one of the best bands Alice has put together ever so any song if a personal favorite or not is a treasure to see and hear. Who can complain? Given all the tours all the albums all the hits..... go see this living legend as often as you can. There will never be another Alice Cooper no matter what songs are preformed or what tour he is on! He continues to make and write Rock and Roll history... go see him and be part of it.
The best band with Alice, was The Alice Cooper Band.(Original).
Im not thrilled, that makes me sad. Probably feeling his age.
Don't know why people are moaning, Alice is a legend and all his shows are amazing, new or old songs they are all excellent, i am just happy to be able to see my idol in the flesh.
Rock on Alice xx
At least he did "I'll bite your face off" and "Caffeine", I'd have liked to have heard a few more from the W2MN albums, like Black Widow from the first W2MN, and Disco from the second W2MN. But I still enjoyed songs like Poison and No More Mr Nice Guy. Also there were a few less theatrics than usual, he did the Feed My Frankenstein and the straitjacket routines, but it would have been nice to have had a few more... But I think that some of the comments are quite unfair, it was actually really good.
Definitely one of the best nights of my life
Well Done Alice :)
The Master sings what the Master wants to sing. All we ask is that he lets us bask in his presence. 11/27 looms large on the calendar, and I've started eating again. I'll need my strength if I'm going to writhe at the Masters' feet. Lovely Alice!
Tired of hearing the same songs over and over again. We've been begging to hear more songs off albums that you seem to refuse to play live, but instead you decide to fill those spots with a bunch of COVERS that we dont really want? All of us would rather hear Pain or I AM MADE OF YOU than hearing some Beatles or Doors song. I know YOU love them, but we LOVE YOU. Im tired of seeing the same tour over and over agian. Be more theatrical again. NMMNG tour felt thrown together.
I would rather hear more rare songs of your own than covers of other artists'. Give us what we r asking for Alice! Im gonna pass on this tour.
I thought the show at The Turning Stone was amazing. While I understand that everyone wants to see a new theatrical show, just the fact that Alice is still out in the road still giving it his all, is a great thing. Keep on rocking Alice!
OH NOOOOOO!!! Alice, I gotta agree with everyone...Im getting really tired not getting tours that even remotely support your albums. I understand you have to do many of your "standards" live, but I want to see a story themed to these albums and more new songs performed live Im bored of hearing Eighteen and Schools Out. . How can you miss your target on a tour themed to W2MN? Even my non-Alice friends love that album and expected more on the last tour. The NMMNG tour felt like you rushed in a ton a songs and rushed through what little theatrics you did. I dont wanna see anymore greatest hits tours. W2MN was your chance to really do something visual. What a letdown. I feel totally let down again.

I too am disappointed to hear that this tour is not W2MN. This album is probably Alice's best work since the original Nightmare. The story begs to be acted out. I can just see the zombies dancing on the beach, the ****** disco (disco sucks!), the last man on earth, and all the other fantastic little stories in this album. I think Alice is really blowing an opportunity to show the world what he's got and how theatrical he could get with this tour. Very disappointed to hear it's basically the same as the last 10 tours.
Ho no... Alice did greatest hits shows since Brutally live tour. No Along came a spider tour? No W2MN tour? I want a creepy show with song from Killer, Welcome... Goes to hell and W2MN! Or, I would like to see Alice recall obscure jewelry from DADA or Raise your fist and yell! Alice should respect his fans!

Yes, Yes, stop doing greatest hit tours. Be proud of the new stuff !!! I have seen Alice 11 times and that is it.
100% agree. Saw Alice twice last year & would love to see some different stuff. Definately from W2MN2, Raise Your Fist, etc.
Come on Alice, we want a NEW show !!!!!!!!!
Turning Stone show was Fantastic!! Glad the electrocution table worked for the show. Thanks to Kyler & Buiji for making my show extra special !! - Kim
its time to either do a w2mn tour or do a show for the real die hards!!!!!!!!!!! featuring songs like generation landslide, you drive me nervous, caught in a dream, long way to go, big apple dreamin, unfinished sweet, yeah yeah yeah, wish you were here, pain, serious. i mean really, all ac tunes are great and i've been around since the begining and i realize some songs must be played BUT c'mon. there is such a big catolog to play from, give us what we need alice!
The problem is the shows he does now are for his fans not just his die hard fans. He throws in some reare gems from time to time but it wouldn't be good for Alice to do a whole show of obscure songs... It would be amazing for us! But you can't please everyone. Plus Alice Cooper has over 300 songs. It would be impossible to pick songs for a die hard fans tour because there is so much. Im just glad Alice is still touring at all. If your sick of the "same" set list, don't go.
Im in Australia and have seen Alice every time he has ****** since the Trash Tour. Ive loved every show although agree that it would be awesome to hear more obscure songs for the die hards. My favourite song of all time is 'I am the Future' which live, would sound fantastic. Other gems to hear would be Some Folks,Generation Landslide,Sideshow,Escape and Wish you were Here.
Damien Tudehope
Couldn't agree more!!!!
We don't want to hear covers, there are so many songs he has seldom/never played, and I could understand it when he said he needed to do the hits, so there wasn't too much room for rare gems. But when it comes to damned covers no one cares about, suddenly there is some room and classics like Only Women Bleed and Under My Wheels are taken out. Come on Alice, we fans are okay with you playing covers at shows like the 100 Club or the Whisky, but for a whole tour?? What a joke... I don't think you realize we put a lot of money in following your tour. We sacrifice a lot for you, and we get that in return... I was over-excited about the new tour after what you told us about the magic screen and all the new theatrics, but now all my excitement is absolutely gone... I still love you, but honestly, I'd rather follow another No More Mr. Nice Guy leg...
