News : Alice Cooper becomes Ke$ha's teacher on stage in Oslo, joining for her version of Schools Out
Alice Cooper joined Ke$ha tonight for her dance version of Schools Out. Alice, who Ke$ha affectionately refers to as "dad", stopped by to say hello during Ke$ha's soundcheck this afternoon in Oslo, Norway. The two decided to surprise her fans with the classic Alice Cooper track as one of her Encore songs... With Alice himself at the helm.
Shortly after her gig was over, Ke$ha tweeted "Thanx for coming to Oslo to do SCHOOLS OUT with me dad... ; ) LEGEND. FUCKING LEGEND."
This wasn't the first time the two have shared the stage together; Ke$ha jumped on stage with Alice at his October 20th concert in Nashville last year, where she had her way with several of Alice's balloons.
Alice promised Ke$ha a cameo in his legendary stage show, most likely involving one of his infamous killing machines, by tweeting "Thanks @keshasuxx! Next time our stage, and be sure to bring some bandaids..."

You must not understand that Kesha takes all of her musical influences from people like Alice Cooper, Bob Dylan. She's a huge fan of the Ramones, Sex Pistoles, Poison, Motley Crue, the Stones.
That's what she grew up on and why she makes the music she does. Honest to the bone pop music, saying whatever she wants. She always said if rock music can be honest and say what they want then she wants to make pop music that way.
I love Kesha and I love Alice Cooper.

Alice has appeared on stage with many artists throughout the years, going back to the 1970s. This is nothing new.
I was lucky enough to see Alice Cooper at the Telenor Arena, Oslo, last Wednesday 6 July 2011, supporting Iron Maiden.
Really, it should have been Iron Maiden supporting Alice Cooper, as Alice and the band stole the show, BIG TIME!
One of the best performances I have seen by Alice Cooper, compared to one of the worst from Iron Maiden, which left people heading for the exits even through Maiden's set. Bruce Dickinson dressed as a chav and all that, should hang up his boots and concentrate on his civil airline career.
Alice, in comparison, was top drawer! Wish I could come and see the same show back home in England, but will be in Shanghai (China) during October/November :-(
My only regret is that I never got a tour/event t-shirt (No More Mr Nice Guy 'bike' t-shirt) as the queues in Oslo were way too long. Anyone on this forum help me get one?

I don't care for Kesha (I refuse to add the $ to her name) and I only heared a couple of her songs. Same with Lady Gaga, but they both paid their respect to Alice and give him credit! In more than a dozen interviews Alice said he wanted to open the door for others and thats what he did. Kesha and Lady Gaga are not the first to copy off Alice Cooper, everyone has. You don't have to listen to thier music but at least try to respect them as artist. And Alice is not "so helpless" he needs the "publicity". If anything joing Kesha on stage gave her more publicity.
It does'nt matter who Alice is on stage with, ALL eyes are on HIM!!

Hey, whatever Alice wants to do! Music has something for everyone. I don't know who Kesha is either, but she has respect for Alice, so she must have it together. Who are we to question a true pioneer Alice still shows up when least expected, This is actually a tribute to Alice's fans. He's everywhere!! Remember Hollywood Squares? The Gong Show? Time magazine? Forbes? American Idol? We all ought to get it by now. Alice is shouting out to us!
Like Trinterror said... I'm not really a Ke$ha fan (I only ever really hear her stuff when I'm in the car with some of my friends), but let's at least give her props for paying homage to the Master! Being a fan of older music, I really enjoy it when a modern performer shows such respect to a legend - and there's nothing wrong with Alice teaming up with young acts, either. If anything, it helps to expose the younger generations to the classics!
Let's not treat music like a touchy political situation. Sure, there are all different kinds, styles, and eras of music, but when artists from different eras and styles reach out to each other and just do what they love - play! - some pretty awesome stuff happens! Personally, Alice and Ke$ha seem like a fun duo. Maybe, if she does join Alice for one of his theater shows, she can lend Calico a hand with executing Alice. :D
